NebraskaMAP – A Geospatial Data Sharing and Web Services Network

The NebraskaMAP is a collaborative project of the Nebraska GIS Council, under leadership of the NebraskaMAP Partnership Committee and the Nebraska Office of the Chief Information Officer.

The NebraskaMAP Partnership Committee currently includes representatives of the following public agencies:

The goal of the NebraskaMAP project is to develop a collaborative web-based system that utilizing the latest in GIS technology to facilitate the sharing of Nebraska-related GIS data and online GIS services and applications.  

The NebraskaMAP is a “work-in-progress” and as such will evolve over the coming months and years.  As a collaborative data sharing and web services project, your input, participation, and support will be a key to the growth and maturation of this web service. 

Initial site design and development by the UNL - CALMIT, under a contract with the Nebraska Office of the CIO.  Initial startup funding provided by the NITC Collaborative Technology Fund, Nebraska State Records Board, and the US Geological Survey.  Technical support for the web site provided currently by Sudhir Ponnappan, Nebraska Game and Parks Commission.
